A clunk or knock from a corner when you hit potholes or speed bumps.

Bouncy Ride

The car keeps bouncing after a bump instead of settling.

Nose Dives When Braking

The front end dips hard when you brake.

Uneven Tire Wear

Cupped or uneven wear on the tires.

Leaning in Turns

The body rolls or leans more than it used to in corners.

Leaking Struts

Oil on the outside of a strut or shock means it's worn out.

Suspension Repair Questions

How much does it cost to replace struts or shocks?

It depends on the vehicle and which parts are worn. Eric gives you the price on the call, before he heads out.

Can struts be replaced in my driveway?

Yes. Eric replaces struts, shocks and springs where the car is parked.

What is the clunking noise when I go over bumps?

Common causes are worn struts or shocks, strut mounts, or other worn suspension parts. Eric checks the corner it's coming from and tells you what needs replacing.

Do I need an alignment afterwards?

Often, yes. Replacing struts or other suspension parts can change the alignment. Eric doesn't do alignments, so plan to get one at a tire or alignment shop afterwards.

Do you do steering repairs?

No. Eric does suspension work only, not steering parts such as racks or tie rods.

Do you come out at night or on weekends?

Yes. Eric takes calls 24/7, weekends included. Visits between 6pm and 5am carry a flat $200 after-hours fee, which he tells you about on the call.
